SAVOR - DAY 1
Psalms 34.8
When is a time in your life when you can say that you have experienced God’s goodness? Life can be hard and sometimes those hardships hinder us from seeing the good in that moment. The bible says that “He works all things for good…” (Romans 8:28). The best way for you to recognize the goodness is by pressing in, allow yourself to receive what God has for you, even in the times when it’s hard to see His goodness. If you believe and have faith that the word is true, know that God is with you, He is for you. So, taste (try it) Once you taste you will see that he is good, but you must seek Him and take refuge in Him to recognize His goodness.

3 cloves garlic, minced (1 Tbsp)
3 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
1 1/2 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
3/4 tsp dried thyme
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 cup dry ditalini pasta
1 64fl of your favorite tomato juice (I use V8)
1tbsp of vinegar (this to help with the beans later)
2 (15 oz) can dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz) can great northern beans, drained and rinsed
(Use however much beans you desire, I love beans so I use a lot)
Finely shredded Romano or Parmesan cheese , for serving
Heat 1 Tbsp olive oil in a large pot over medium high heat, crumble in ground beef and cook, stirring occasionally until cooked through.
Drain fat from beef then transfer beef to a plate, set aside. Heat remaining 1 Tbsp olive oil in same pot.
Add onions, carrots, and celery and sauté over medium-high heat until tender about 6 minutes, add garlic and sauté 1 minute longer.
Add tomato juice, vinegar basil, oregano, thyme and cooked beef then season with salt and pepper to taste.
Bring to a boil then reduce heat to medium-low, cover with lid and allow to simmer, stirring occasionally, until veggies are soft, about 15 - 20 minutes.
Meanwhile prepare ditalini pasta according to directions on package, cooking to al dente.
Add cooked and drained pasta to soup* along with kidney beans and great northern beans.
Allow to cook 1 minute longer. Serve warm with grated Romano or Parmesan cheese.
