Share Christmas with millions of kids.

A small shoebox can have a big impact. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out of it is eternal. Be a part of changing children’s lives all over the world in Jesus’ Name through the power of a simple gift with Operation Christmas Child.

How to Get Started

  • Donate new items during September:

Place these new items in the suitcases near the CrossTown Kids desk during September: pencils, paper, pencil sharperners, erasers, crayons, gluesticks, scissors, flip flops, ball caps, rulers, deodarant (must be solid), soap, washcloths, tooth brush, toothpaste

  • Donate new items during October:

Place these new items in the suitcases near the CrossTown Kids desk during October: lip balm, combs, brushes, ziplock bags (sandwhich and gallon), hairbows, barrettes, ponytail holders flash cards, candy (hard), small toys, dolls, balls, pumps, yo yo’s, jumpropes, playing cards, cars, small stuffed animals, socks

  • Donate $7 to cover the cost of shipping a box

During November, donate $7 to cover the cost of shipping a shoebox or $7+ to enable many shoeboxes to make the journey. More details regarding the process to donate will be announced in November.

  • Join the Shoebox Packing Party!

Participate in the soon to be announced Shoebox Packing Party at the main campus. The Packing Party is a fantastic service opportunity in which the whole family can participate.

Give by building your own custom shoebox.

Participate in Operation Christmas Child this year by building shoeboxes as a family at home and dropping your completed boxes off at First Baptist Cleveland in November.

  • Get a Shoebox

Pick-up an easy to fold box for free at First Baptist Cleveland, or start with an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox. If you want to wrap it, cover the box and lid separately.

  • Girl or Boy?

Decide whether you will pack a box for a girl or a boy, and the age category: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14.

  • Fill with Gifts

Select a quality “wow” toy such as a doll, soccer ball with pump, or stuffed animal. Then add other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. See more gift suggestions!

  • Pray

Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift. You can also include a personal note and photo.

  • Follow Your Box Labels

Donate $7 online and receive a tracking label to Follow Your Box and discover the destination of your shoebox gift. Get your trackable box labels!

  • Drop-Off

Take your shoebox gift to the First Baptist Cleveland collection center during National Collection Week, November 14-21. Find other drop-off locations!
