What the church is doing

A task force comprised of church staff and emergency management professionals is meeting regularly to assess updates and make recommendations for response, including developing contingencies for worship gatherings and other programming.

In addition, we are also adding the following measures:

Sunday morning services throughout the month of April 2020 will be available online only. There are no in-person services.

There are no in-person Groups or other activities until further notice.

  • Everyone entering the building will be required to sanitize their hands upon entry.
  • Shuttles in the parking lot will not be running during this period.
  • The welcome time will be adjusted during worship services, and we suggest that handshaking not be done as we welcome each other.
  • There will be extra cleaning and sanitizing of the campus between services.
  • Physical worship guides will not be available. You can, however, get a digital worship guide with announcements. Tap or click here to view the current worship guide or text SERIES to 74784.
  • New hand sanitizer stations are located throughout campus.
  • Offering time during worship services will be adjusted, and there will be drop-off giving stations available around each venue.
  • Additionally, giving online is by far the easiest and safest way to give each Sunday and during the week and has recently become a simplified and more streamlined experience. Tap or click here to give online anytime.
  • Text to Give is also available every day. Text GIVE to 74784 to get started.
All domestic and international missions are being constantly evaluated using the guidelines of the State Department, The World Health Organization, and medical personnel.
Director of Building & Grounds, Bill Fairchild, explains recent steps to improve sanitation efforts on campus.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.
2 Timothy 1:7 (CSB)

What You Can Do

First Baptist Cleveland worship services are streamed live every Sunday, and every message is available to watch and listen to anytime.

How You Can Pray

  • Pray for those affected by this virus. Pray that they would soon be healed.
  • Pray for a cure. Many are working around the clock to find a cure. Pray for these efforts.
  • Pray for everyone impacted by the chaos and the uncertainty that is resulting from this virus.
  • Pray that much would be made of Jesus in these days… and pray that the world would look to Him ‘in times of trouble’ and discover the hope we have in Him and through Him.
